Position Summary
The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Aqua Treat’s health, safety, and environmental standards across all operational sites, with a strong emphasis on ADNOC-compliant procedures. The role ensures legal compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement of safety culture in alignment with UAE regulations and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure full compliance with UAE Federal Law, MOHRE regulations, and ADNOC HSE standards.
- Maintain and update site-specific HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and emergency response plans.
- Liaise with ADNOC HSE representatives and ensure alignment with client safety protocols.
Operational Safety
- Conduct daily site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitor permit-to-work systems, confined space entries, hot work, and other high-risk activities.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety discipline among staff and subcontractors.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare incident/accident reports, near-miss logs, and monthly HSE performance summaries.
- Maintain records of safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
- Submit reports to ADNOC and internal management as per contractual and regulatory timelines.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct HSE inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Deliver regular toolbox talks and refresher sessions tailored to site-specific risks.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns and behavioral safety initiatives.
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and test emergency response plans for fire, chemical spills, medical emergencies, and environmental incidents.
- Coordinate mock drills and ensure readiness of firefighting and first aid equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, with at least 2 years in ADNOC projects (onshore or offshore)
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC Codes of Practice, PTW systems, and incident investigation protocols.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
