Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- English Speaking Skills
- Education and knowledge in HVAC Engineering and Commissioning is essential.
- Good project management and contract administrative skills.
- Perform Heat load calculation for Air Conditioning system for Oil Rigs, Jack up vessels, offshore Platforms, Barges, Ships, Exploration & Survey vessels etc.
- Involves selection of equipment (Split AC , Package A/C, Chiller, AHU, FCU , Ventilation fan, Pumps, etc.), design of ducting, design of chilled water piping, selection of pumps, valves, etc.
- Reviewing vendor data sheets for approval/comments prior submitting to the client.
- Carry out design in-consideration with various heat generating / transmitting / equipment /material with the aid of cooling Load Estimation software (Carrier HAP latest version).
- Knowledge and experience in Shipyard or a similar facility with Pre-commissioning and Commissioning works for conversion and new buildings.
- Sound knowledge in testing and commissioning of Marine and Offshore, HVAC systems.
- Familiar with applicable standards, class rules and ship building standards.
- Strong background with resolution of technical issues during projects planning and execution phases.
- Prepare system boundary mark up drawings and divide systems in to sub-systems.
- Perform Commissioning activities of HVAC, Chiller and all associated systems and auxiliaries.
- Conversant with permit to work system and lock out tag out system.
- Able to do risk assessments and SIMOPS studies for construction and commissioning activities.
- Able to prepare commissioning procedures and work methodologies.
- Experience in mechanical completion, Commissioning and preservation procedures.
- Knowledge and experience in project completion software such as WinPCS, PIMS, Procosys, Go Completions etc.
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Refrigeration Engineering
