Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing solutions in Microsoft Azure.
- Proven, demonstrable experience architecting and implementing disaster recovery solutions using Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Azure Backup.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python).
- Deep understanding of core Azure services: Compute (VMs, Scale Sets), Networking (VNet, VPN, Load Balancers), Storage (Blob, Managed Disks), and Identity (Azure AD).
- Solid knowledge of networking concepts relevant to DR, including DNS, routing, and network security groups.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Highly Desirable (Nice-to-Have)
- Microsoft Azure Certification: AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) or AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer Associate).
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud DR strategies.
- Knowledge of database high-availability and DR (e.g., SQL Server Always On, Azure SQL Geo-Replication).
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR) as they relate to data resilience.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerting for DR monitoring.
