Role Overview
We are looking to onboard Data Engineers who will primarily focus on building robust ingestion pipelines into Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse across multiple school systems. This is a hands-on, execution-driven role requiring strong technical capability and the ability to operate in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data ingestion pipelines into Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse
- Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines and ingestion patterns
- Integrate data from multiple school systems into centralized data platforms
- Work with Dynamics 365 data structures for extraction and transformation
- Develop and support API-based integrations (REST APIs, authentication mechanisms)
- Implement incremental extraction and delta load strategies
- Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with program stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams
- Support deployment, testing, and production rollout activities
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, ingestion patterns)
- Proven experience building end-to-end ingestion frameworks
- Exposure to Dynamics 365 data models and integration approaches
- Solid experience with REST APIs, authentication (OAuth, tokens), and incremental data extraction patterns
- Strong SQL and data transformation capabilities
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL/ELT principles
- Experience working in project-based or contract delivery environments
- Ability to start immediately (or short notice preferred)
Preferred / Advantageous
- Experience in education, enterprise, or multi-entity environments
- Exposure to Azure data ecosystem
- Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder coordination skills
