About the Role
We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps / DevOps Engineer to lead the transition of a business-critical enterprise application from a third-party vendor into our organization. The application is deployed within the IT environment of a leading Oil & Gas operator and comprises multiple integrated components hosted on Windows Server infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for application deployment, environment management, CI/CD implementation, operational support, and close collaboration with the client’s IT and Digital teams to ensure a seamless application takeover and long-term operational stability.
Key Responsibilities
Application Deployment & Environment Management
- Deploy and manage Node.js backend services using PM2 on Windows Server.
- Deploy and maintain React frontend applications.
- Manage deployments across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
- Execute application build and release activities, including:
- Version management
- Release planning
- Rollback procedures
- Perform pre-deployment validation and post-deployment verification.
- Maintain deployment documentation and release records.
Web Server Administration
- Configure, administer, and maintain Apache Web Server.
- Manage VirtualHost configurations.
- Configure and maintain:
- ProxyPass
- ProxyPassReverse
- Host static web content and configure backend routing.
- Troubleshoot web server configuration and performance issues.
SSL & Infrastructure Management
- Generate Certificate Signing Requests (CSR).
- Install, renew, and maintain SSL certificates.
- Support dual-layer SSL implementations.
- Coordinate with client IT teams for:
- Load balancer configuration
- SSL deployment
- Network routing
- DNS updates
Database Administration
- Perform Microsoft SQL Server backup and restore operations.
- Execute database deployment scripts.
- Manage environment-specific database configurations.
- Support schema changes, upgrades, and data migration activities.
Identity & Access Management
- Configure and maintain Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Manage OAuth authentication settings.
- Configure client credentials, redirect URLs, and callback endpoints.
- Support authentication troubleshooting and security compliance.
DevOps & CI/CD
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate application deployment and release processes.
- Manage source control using Git.
- Ensure deployment governance, version control, and release traceability.
- Maintain deployment runbooks and operational documentation.
Monitoring & Operational Support
- Monitor application health using PM2, server logs, and monitoring tools.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting and incident response.
- Coordinate issue resolution with development and infrastructure teams.
- Support production deployments and ongoing operational maintenance.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with client IT and Digital teams to coordinate:
- Server provisioning
- Firewall changes
- Network access
- SSL certificate management
- Load balancer configuration
- Support structured Change Management processes.
- Participate in deployment planning, release meetings, and operational reviews.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or System Administration.
- Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Node.js applications on Windows Server.
- Experience working in enterprise production environments.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating with client IT teams, development teams, and third-party vendors.
