Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Controller to manage and optimize inventory operations across inbound, storage, and outbound processes. The role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, improving stock efficiency, reducing carrying costs, and supporting smooth supply chain operations in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Management: Monitor, control, and optimize inbound and outbound inventory flow to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic full inventory audits to ensure 100% alignment between physical stock and system records.
- Process Improvement: Analyze the end-to-end inventory lifecycle to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and cost leakages; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate inventory variances, root causes, and shrinkage issues, and ensure timely resolution and documentation.
- System Control: Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP/MRP systems and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare inventory reports, KPIs, and dashboards covering stock aging, turnover, accuracy, and valuation.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with procurement, warehouse, finance, and operations teams to align inventory planning with business needs.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to company policies, audit standards, and supply chain best practices.
Academic & Professional Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Scale Exposure: Proven experience managing high-volume inventories with 20,000+ SKUs.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
