JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for managing and delivering business and/or IT projects as defined in the Group overall organizational strategic plan. Coordinate with third-party contractors or consultants to deliver enterprise-wide projects including planning, issues and risk management.
Leads and enhances enterprise-wide demand, project and portfolio management processes, and provide leadership throughout the entire lifecycle of required projects.
Provides leadership and project portfolio level reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, conducts Project Steering Committee meetings with C-Level executives.
KEY RESULT AREAS
1. General Functions
Define, communicate, and execute the vision and strategies for effective project management across the organization.
Responsible for the effective and timely execution of projects.
Facilitate governance for the project portfolio and each individual project.
Ensure compliance with the company’s projects framework and SDLC policies and procedures.
Schedule and balance activities to meet deadlines for deliverables and meetings.
Manage and oversee projects budgets.
Keep leadership informed of changes related to new and ongoing projects within the organization; resolve and/or escalate project issues in a timely fashion.
Deliver engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations.
Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others.
All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established.
Understand the business/client environment and systems, connectivity and application technological alternatives.
Manage multiple enterprise level/high traffic projects, meet deadlines, interface with different company business units and work in a fast-paced technology driven environment.
Evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details and abstract low-level information to a more general understanding.
Decompose a project into distinct work packages and determine appropriate resource requirements for each work package.
The company’s Enterprise Project Governance, policies and procedures aide implementation and awareness.
Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures.
2. Knowledge Development
Stays informed on the latest development in Information Technology and Project Management techniques including Waterfall / Agile project management methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or any equivalent credentials.
Experience
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in IT Program, portfolio, and projects management working in Management/IT Consulting organizations or Financial Services industries with focus on:
Investment Banking
Brokerage
Asset Management
Capital Markets
Previous experience in launching Asset Management funds and implementing Asset Management CORE system is likely.
