Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer responsible for securing enterprise network infrastructure, firewall environments, and cloud connectivity. The role focuses on protecting organizational assets from cyber threats, implementing secure access controls, and ensuring compliance with internal security standards and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with firewall management, network security operations, and incident response coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Firewall Management
- Configure, manage, and optimize firewalls (Fortinet / Palo Alto / Cisco)
- Perform timely firewall patching based on Cybersecurity team recommendations
- Conduct firewall rule reviews and optimize rule bases
- Implement network segmentation and Zero-Trust principles
- Review and remediate findings from network penetration testing reports
- Draft High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents as per business requirements
- Maintain and update Network CMDB tools
- Develop YARA rules in collaboration with SOC for SOAR-based automated incident response
Monitoring & Incident Response
- Monitor network traffic and detect anomalies
- Investigate and respond to network security incidents
- Coordinate with SOC teams for log onboarding to SIEM platforms
- Support automated and manual incident response processes
Compliance & Governance
- Maintain updated network security documentation
- Conduct periodic firewall access and security policy reviews
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Ensure secure VPN and remote access configurations
Required Skills
- Hands-on firewall configuration and troubleshooting experience
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching concepts
- Experience with IDS/IPS systems and DDoS protection appliances
- Expertise in network monitoring tools
- Familiarity with SIEM and SOAR platforms
- Security certifications preferred (CCNP Security, CEH, or equivalent)
