Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified QA/QC Inspector (Civil) with experience in residential building construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and reporting on the quality of civil works to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily site inspections and ensure all civil activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant standards.
- Inspect and verify formwork, rebar installation, concrete pouring, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, and finishes.
- Review and verify material deliveries against approved material submittals.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and other quality documentation.
- Issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when necessary and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the construction team, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality-related issues.
- Monitor progress and ensure that QA/QC processes are properly implemented throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend QA/QC meetings and assist in audits and inspections conducted by consultants or clients.
- Maintain up-to-date records of QA/QC documentation, test results, and inspection requests.
- Verify that work is performed in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a QA/QC Inspector in residential building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.
- Familiar with local building codes and international standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, BS).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Experience in using inspection and testing tools.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
