Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data & AI Engineer with strong expertise in Power BI, Azure data technologies, data engineering, and analytics. The role will focus on developing dashboards, building data pipelines, integrating data from ERP and third-party systems, and supporting AI/ML use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain intuitive, user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Build Power BI solutions using DAX, Power Query/M, star-schema data modelling, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Manage Power BI workspaces, gateways, deployment pipelines, and version control.
- Work with Azure data technologies including Azure Data Factory, Synapse/Fabric, and Azure SQL.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration processes.
- Extract and integrate data from ERP and third-party systems into Data Warehouse/Fabric environments.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, lineage, and quality management.
- Support data governance and cataloguing using tools such as Microsoft Purview.
- Support AI/ML initiatives using Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Fabric AI capabilities.
- Optimize queries, reports, data models, and overall BI performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Analytics.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI – mandatory.
- Strong skills in DAX, Power Query/M, SQL, PL/SQL, and data modelling.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and data integration.
- Experience extracting data from ERP and third-party systems.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and reconciliation.
- Exposure to Python/R and AI/ML.
- Experience with Azure OpenAI and/or Microsoft Fabric AI is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with OBIEE/OAS.
- OBIEE to Power BI migration experience.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Knowledge of Azure AutoML.
- Experience with Power BI Premium/Fabric capacity management and paginated reports.
- Microsoft Purview experience.
