Job Purpose :
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for defining, governing and evolving the enterprise technology strategy, target architecture and engineering architecture standards across the organization. The role establishes enterprise-wide reference architectures, technology roadmaps, architecture principles and governance practices across multiple technology stacks including Java, .NET and Python, as well as cloud, integration, data, security and platform engineering domains. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with engineering leadership, solution architects, product, DevOps, QA, security, data, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure technology investments are scalable, secure, resilient, cost-effective and aligned with business strategy and long-term platform modernization goals.

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, target-state architecture and multi-year technology roadmap for the engineering department.
• Establish architecture principles, standards, patterns and reference architectures across application, integration, data, infrastructure, cloud, security and observability domains.
• Govern enterprise system designs across multiple technology stacks including Java/Spring Boot, .NET/.NET Core/C#, Python/FastAPI/Django/Flask and related ecosystem technologies.
• Lead architecture governance forums, design review boards and technical decision-making processes to ensure consistency, quality and strategic alignment across engineering initiatives.
• Partner with solution architects and engineering leads to review solution blueprints, HLD/LLD documents, C4 models, UML diagrams, deployment views, integration flows and API specifications.
• Define enterprise standards for microservices, modular architecture, service-oriented architecture, event-driven architecture, API-led integration and domain-driven design.
• Develop enterprise cloud architecture strategy across Azure, AWS and GCP, covering landing zones, network patterns, identity, compute, storage, databases, containers, Kubernetes, serverless and managed services.
• Drive platform modernization, legacy transformation, cloud migration, re-platforming, refactoring and technical debt reduction programs across products and engineering platforms.
• Define enterprise integration architecture including API gateways, service mesh, event streaming, message queues, ETL/ELT pipelines, third-party integrations and partner connectivity.
• Guide data architecture decisions covering relational databases, NoSQL, caching, search, data pipelines, reporting, master data, data governance and analytical workloads.
• Define secure-by-design architecture standards covering IAM, OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, Azure AD/Entra ID, secrets management, encryption, compliance, auditability and secure API design.
• Establish non-functional requirement standards for scalability, performance, resilience, high availability, disaster recovery, observability, maintainability, operability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to define enterprise CI/CD, infrastructure as code, environment strategy, release governance, monitoring, logging, tracing and operational readiness practices.
• Evaluate and recommend enterprise technology platforms, frameworks, tools and vendors through trade-off analysis, POCs, prototypes, cost assessment and risk evaluation.
• Create architecture decision records, technology selection guidelines, lifecycle standards, deprecation plans and risk mitigation plans for complex enterprise initiatives.
• Support engineering leadership in portfolio planning, capability mapping, technology investment prioritization, capacity planning and cross-team dependency management.
• Provide architecture-level guidance for critical production, performance, reliability, scalability, security and integration issues across enterprise systems.
• Mentor solution architects, technical leads and senior engineers on system design, enterprise architecture practices, documentation quality, engineering standards and design reviews.
• Represent engineering architecture in discussions with executive leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, clients and external partners.
• Maintain enterprise architecture repositories, standards, roadmaps and governance documentation in Confluence or similar platforms.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills :
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum Experience:
• 15+ years of relevant technology experience, including hands-on engineering background and 7+ years in architecture, enterprise architecture, solution design or senior technical leadership roles.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Strong enterprise architecture experience across complex engineering organizations, large-scale platforms, digital products and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to define enterprise architecture strategy, target architecture, reference architectures, technology roadmaps, standards and governance frameworks.
• Deep technical understanding of multiple technology stacks including Java/Spring Boot, .NET/.NET Core/C#, Python/FastAPI/Django/Flask and modern backend frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and practices such as TOGAF, Zachman, capability mapping, value streams, architecture governance and architecture decision records.
• Expertise in microservices, domain-driven design, service-oriented architecture, modular monoliths, event-driven architecture, API-led integration and cloud-native design patterns.
• Ability to review and guide HLD/LLD documents, UML diagrams, C4 models, sequence diagrams, deployment diagrams, integration architecture documents and API specifications.
• Hands-on background with REST, gRPC, GraphQL, OpenAPI/Swagger, API gateways, service mesh, load balancing, service discovery and fault-tolerance patterns.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP, including enterprise landing zones, networking, identity, compute, storage, managed databases, monitoring, scaling, availability and cost optimization.
• Experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, serverless architecture, platform engineering and cloud-native deployment models.
• Strong understanding of data architecture including relational databases, NoSQL, caching, search, data integration, data pipelines, reporting, data governance and analytical workloads.
• Experience with database platforms such as MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or equivalent technologies, including data model review and SQL optimization considerations.
• Experience with messaging and event streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, AWS SQS/SNS or equivalent technologies.
• Strong security architecture knowledge including OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, Azure AD/Entra ID, IAM, secrets management, encryption, cryptography basics, secure API design and compliance considerations.
• Ability to define and govern non-functional requirements for scalability, performance, resilience, high availability, disaster recovery, observability, maintainability and cost efficiency.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, Git, infrastructure as code, automated testing, release governance, environment strategy and operational readiness.
• Experience with observability platforms such as ELK/Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic or cloud-native monitoring, logging and tracing tools.
• Ability to evaluate technologies, vendors and platforms through structured trade-off analysis, POCs, prototypes, cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, clean architecture, design patterns, algorithms and data structures.
• Experience supporting Agile delivery, portfolio planning, sprint readiness, backlog refinement, cross-team dependency management and engineering delivery governance.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, architecture repositories, documentation governance and architecture knowledge management practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executive, business, product and engineering audiences.
• Ability to mentor architects and engineering leaders, resolve design conflicts, drive consensus and maintain consistent architecture quality standards.
