Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer (MEP) to ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations and activities on-site meet project quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and inspection procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and quality checks for all MEP installations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
- Ensure all MEP works comply with project specifications, contract documents, standards, and local codes.
- Review and interpret MEP drawings, method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and material submittals.
- Monitor the execution of MEP works and report non-conformances to the QA/QC Manager.
- Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, and consultants for inspection requests and approvals.
- Maintain all QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, and testing logs.
- Assist in reviewing shop drawings and as-built drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are tested and commissioned as per requirements.
- Verify that all installations follow health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Participate in internal quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement of project quality standards.
Job Description
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5+ years of QA/QC experience in MEP works within construction projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, inspection processes, and quality standards.
- Familiar with international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, IPC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA/QC software tools.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Certification in QA/QC or ISO 9001 (preferred).
