Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures
- Analyze and optimize operational costs
- Prepare and analyze cost variance reports and identify improvement opportunities
- Conduct product and service costing and inventory valuation
- Support budget preparation and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with teams to develop standard costs
- Contribute to the development of cost reduction strategies
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Assist in training and developing junior accountants on costing systems
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (Experience with SAP preferred)
- CMA, CPA, or equivalent certification is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
